The two are not even comparable academically. While UMass might have some majors that are better than UNC's, overall UNC FAR exceeds UMass in reputation and overall quality.Central: basically a much more mellowed out southwest. Lots of people, lots of gathering, Franklin dining, heavier on the smoking. O-Hill: hipster version of central. Basically the mix of Central and Sylvan. Honors college: nicest/newest dorms, Roots cafe, close to gym. Farther from a real dining hall, which sucks when the weather is poor.And the honors college admin offices are right there in the same honors complex building as the dorm rooms, which is pretty convenient.
